I want to thank all of you that came out last night. Despite the Red Sox game traffic. The long work week. Gearing up for PodCamp … The turnout was more than I could have asked for!

First and foremost I really need to, once again, thank all of the sponsors that helped me make this event what it was: Marc from Mb Graphics for all the signage, the people at LocaModa, Alyssa over at Big Red Podcast and the guys at Xcomnomy for helping me pay for the event, John Wall from The M Show and his partner in crime Christopher Penn at Marketing Over Coffee for the coffee gift certificates (I have them in hand and will be mailing them out today, Victoria and Ron!), Dan Germain (go buy his CD if you did not win one) at Dan Germain Music, Sarah Stewart and her Williams Sonoma fetish from I Cook Good, Amber Brown from Juxtaco Event Marketing for all her help setting up and for the Blick GC donation, Matt Hooker (even if I did call him an asshole last night) from HookerMedia for the gorgeous painting of the Old State House, Gary Hedrick from ElefhantWorks Design Studio for his lovely windmill painting, Viva Skin Care for donating the GC for the facial (although when I said “the winner of the facial is….” I felt a little dirty), and Chris Schepici and the people at ShoeBuy.com for that $100 GC that EVERYONE wanted. And oh yeah, my printer for printing up that Fenway photograph.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

And the winners of prizes in the drawing are as follows:

$25 Starbucks GC:
Ron from Universal Hub

$25 Dunkin Donuts GC:
Mysterious Brian

There you have it. Congrats everyone!!!

Before I forget this time, I tried to plug it as much as I could last night: I’m planning another event for February. A ChocoBeer Tasting Party!. With the help of chocolate expert Dana Zemack from The Tasty Show, me and the whole Boston Blog Events venture, we’re putting together a night of Belgian chocolate and Belgian beer and we’re going to find out just how fantastic they taste together.

If I didn’t force you to sign the mailing list for updates, and you’d like to find out more details as the party planning process progresses (what a great alliteration), please email me your … uh email address! I’ll put you on the list! )Just make sure you specify somewhere in the email or subject like to add you to the event updates list!) jenny@bostonblogevents.com.

(Thank you Dana for the ridiculously delicious chocolate that was scattered all over!)

Ok I just spilled my entire LARGE coffee (without having had any). It’s time to go to sleep for about 5 days straight now.

Thanks everyone!

BOSTON — October 9, 2007—The greater Boston area’s most prolific Bloggers will gather at Boston Blogtoberfest 2007, taking place Thursday, October 25.

This second annual event, which will run from 6-8 pm in the lower level of the Pour House, 907 Boylston Street, Boston. Boston Blogtoberfest 2007 is the creation of Boston Blogger – Jenny Frazier. The event is meant to provide a chance for fellow Boston bloggers to put down the mice, step away from the keyboard, and meet some of their favorite local bloggers in a casual, face-to-face setting.

Frazier started the event last year after randomly meeting a fellow Boston blogger, posting about the event and then receiving tremendous feedback from the Boston blog community that it would be great to have an organized event where bloggers could all meet and share experiences.

“It’s different than most of the social networking events in the area because it’s not set up to be about anything. Last year some people networked, some people were looking for jobs, and some people simply wanted to have a few cocktails and gossip! It’s great because people can make it about whatever they want,” says Frazier of the event.

The event, which will offer free attendance, is seeking sponsorship donations from fellow bloggers or local companies willing to provide added value to the Boston Blogtoberfest experience. Businesses or individuals who would like to make donations of either money, food or drink are asked to contact the event’s organizer, Jenny Frazier at jenny@bostonblogevents.com. Additional information, including lists of registered attendees and sponsors to date can be found at: http://bostonblogevents.com/blogtoberfest

For more about Jenny Frazier, a 26 year old Boston graphic artist/photographer/marketer and the event’s creator, visit her website at http://jennyfrazier.com.

The Xconomists are coming! The Xconomists are coming!

Hey I never claimed to be a comedian. Poor jokes aside, the Xconomists an unrivaled group of leading technologists, scientists, and business innovators who contribute to the site xconomy.com.

Xconomy is “dedicated to providing business and technology leaders with timely, insightful, close-to-the-scene information about the local personalities, companies, and technological trends that best exemplify today’s high-tech economy.

Our goal is to become the authoritative voice on the exponential economy, the realm of business and innovation characterized by exponential technological growth and responsible for an increasing share of productivity and overall economic growth.

We plan to deliver this valuable content through a unique global network of localized blogs, events, conferences, and other initiatives designed to better connect people and ideas.”

I poked around the site, as I did with everyone who signed up, and this is a group of smart cookies. A few of them will be at the event mingling. Don’t forget to say hi!

Xconomy.com donated some cash funds to make the event fun. And delicious (their much appreciated money went towards some snacks!) Enjoy!
