1.) First things first, tell us about BrewEngland – who you are and where can we find you?
We are Adam and Sarah, craft beer enthusiasts who have a soft spot for New England breweries, brewpubs and brews. We travel around New England touring breweries as well as restaurants and fine pubs that serve New England craft beers We attend special beer events/tastings, and share our “beerventues” with the world. You can hit up Brew England for information on upcoming beer events in the area. Adam is also a home brewer and has launched a new section of the site dedicated to that. 2.) What will Blogtoberfest attendees learn from BrewEngland?
Attendees can learn about the world of craft beer, with a specific concentration on New England area brewers and breweries, without any pretense.

3.) Do you encourage reader participation (Feedback, beer suggestions, brewery recommendations?) or is this a chronicle for the two of you?
We definitely encourage participation. We love comments and will always reply. We try to solicit names of bars/restaurants we haven’t been to, as well as specific beers that we should try out.

4.) Blogtoberfest has evolved over the years and isn’t just for blogs anymore — what social media networks can we follow BrewEngland on and do you do giveaways or promote specials to these followers?
Currently BrewEngland can be found on the web at www.brewengland.com, our Facebook Fan Page (Brew England), as well as Twitter – @brewengland. We have done a few giveaways in the past, and have some ideas that will encourage interaction of our readers/followers to participate in order to win cool prizes. We are also working with some local brewpubs and are in the planning stages of hosting special beer centric events in the upcoming months.

5.) Who are you looking forward to meeting at Blogtoberfest?
We’re looking to meet interesting new people, bloggers, or just those who have any interest in beer whatsoever. We believe that people who don’t drink craft beer are just looking for a reason to start – we have some suggestions that make it easy for anyone to transition to “better beer”.

6.) Do you have a good networking tip for first time Blogtoberfest attendees?
Talk to everyone! This is Sarah’s 4th time at Blogtoberfest and if there is one thing she has learned it’s dont sit in the corner all night, step out and introduce yourselves. Its a friendly crowd and the more you socialize the more you get out of it!

7.) Who from BrewEngland is attending and how will we recognize the BrewEngland team at Blogtoberfest?
Sarah and Adam will both be attending Blogtoberfest. We will have our business cards on hand, some fantastic beer-centric prizes and a few cool surprises as well. Can’t wait to meet you all!

This second annual event, which will run from 6-8 pm in the lower level of the Pour House, 907 Boylston Street, Boston. Boston Blogtoberfest 2007 is the creation of Boston Blogger – Jenny Frazier. The event is meant to provide a chance for fellow Boston bloggers to put down the mice, step away from the keyboard, and meet some of their favorite local bloggers in a casual, face-to-face setting.

Frazier started the event last year after randomly meeting a fellow Boston blogger, posting about the event and then receiving tremendous feedback from the Boston blog community that it would be great to have an organized event where bloggers could all meet and share experiences.

“It’s different than most of the social networking events in the area because it’s not set up to be about anything. Last year some people networked, some people were looking for jobs, and some people simply wanted to have a few cocktails and gossip! It’s great because people can make it about whatever they want,” says Frazier of the event.

The event, which will offer free attendance, is seeking sponsorship donations from fellow bloggers or local companies willing to provide added value to the Boston Blogtoberfest experience. Businesses or individuals who would like to make donations of either money, food or drink are asked to contact the event’s organizer, Jenny Frazier at jenny@bostonblogevents.com.
